Guests returning from Tibet often leave comments under our Facebook posts. This post compiles several China2Go reviews from 2026: some encountered a blizzard in Tagin, some were visiting the highlands for the first time, and others were traveling to Tibet with us for the second time.

CITS China International Travel Service Global—China2Go—limits its Tibet tours to a maximum of 10 people. The contract explicitly states that there will be no stops at shopping venues, and both the tour guides and drivers are part of their own in-house team—they do not outsource these roles. While these details are listed on the itinerary, guests may not necessarily notice them at first; it’s only after they return from the trip that they mention them themselves. We encountered a rare blizzard in Tagin and were stranded there, unable to move. We’re grateful to the China Travel Global team for responding to the situation by making last-minute adjustments to our accommodations and itinerary, which allowed us to catch our flight out of Lhasa without a hitch. Thank you to Hua’er and our driver for their service throughout the trip—they not only warmed our hearts but also our stomachs, leaving us with wonderful memories.

Tour Guide Professionalism and Knowledge of Local Culture

I just returned from an 8-day trip to Tibet. I’m so grateful to our tour guide, Sister Hua’er, for taking such excellent care of us and for her thorough explanations at every temple we visited. If I ever have the chance to travel to Tibet again, I’ll definitely choose China2Go and specifically request Sister Hua’er as our guide!

Before leaving for Tibet, I was very worried about whether my body would be able to adjust to the high altitude, and since it was my first time joining a local tour group on the mainland, I felt quite anxious. However, during those ten days, thanks to the attentive care of our tour guide Hua’er and our driver Fan Ge, not only did none of the mishaps I’d feared occur, but Hua’er’s extensive knowledge and thorough explanations made this trip to Tibet truly rewarding! In addition, the travel agency staff kept a close eye on us at all times, providing meticulous and immediate assistance, which really put our minds at ease!

I just got back from a tour with them. The bus, tour guide, and driver were all great—especially our tour guide, Hua'er, who took such good care of us. She even stayed with us until 8:00 p.m. while we were taking photos, helped everyone take lots of beautiful group photos, and gave very detailed explanations of the sights. I highly recommend them!

100% pure travel with zero shopping stops

No visits to shops and no optional activities—this is stipulated in the contract, and a breach of this clause will result in a penalty of 5,000 RMB.

Our trip to Tibet comes to an end tomorrow. The high-quality accommodations and transportation provided by China Travel, along with the absence of optional paid activities or shopping stops, made for a smooth and comfortable journey. In addition to the professional cultural commentary, I’d especially like to thank our tour guide, Brother Zhang, for his thoughtful care—he helped carry our luggage and even carried the oxygen machine for us. Even without an oxygen machine on Mount Everest, he still led us to capture the “Golden Summit” at sunrise and photograph the Milky Way; his extraordinary stamina is comparable to Superman’s. His expert guidance on the best photo spots also helped us capture stunning shots of the scenery. Of course, I’d also like to thank Driver Dongdong for his excellent driving skills, which ensured we traveled safely for eight days. China Travel will be my top choice for my next trip to mainland China.

This was my second trip to Tibet through Global Travel Services. We traveled via Chengdu to Nyingchi, taking in the beautiful scenery along the way—the highlight was seeing the blue ice caves in Bomi. I’ve now returned to Lhasa to continue the rest of my itinerary. The tour guide was professional, the driver followed the rules, and the vehicle was brand new—I highly recommend their services. (This is not a sponsored post; I’m just sharing my honest experience.)

How did CITS Global Travel—China2Go achieve what the guest described?

After reading through these comments, you’ll notice that the guests are mostly expressing gratitude not for the attractions, but for the “people”—such as the person who made decisions during a blizzard, the person who climbed Mount Everest while carrying an oxygen generator, and the person who stayed with everyone taking photos until 8:00 p.m.

This has to do with our core philosophy and the way we lead tours. At CITS Global Travel—China2Go, all Tibet tour guides and drivers are part of our in-house team; we do not outsource or subcontract. For example, when we encountered a blizzard in Tagin, our on-site staff were able to coordinate accommodations and transportation directly. Furthermore, for group tours with strangers, each group is limited to a maximum of 10 people. When traveling through the Ali region, we sometimes reduce the group size to as few as 6 people. We use brand-new vehicles from 2025, and accommodations are typically at international chains like Hilton or high-quality local hotels equipped with oxygen supply. In particular, we handle all applications for the Tibet Entry Permit ourselves, with an approval rate of 99.1%. Furthermore, the contract explicitly states that the tour is “pure sightseeing with no shopping,” and a breach of this clause results in a penalty of 5,000 RMB.

China International Travel Service (CITS) is a publicly traded travel company in mainland China that is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. One guest wrote in a comment, “CITS will be my top choice for my next trip to mainland China.” To us, that means more than any advertising slogan.

Q: Where can I find reviews from China2Go guests?

A: Guest reviews are posted publicly on the CITS Global Travel – China2Go Facebook page, and our official website compiles a selection of them every two or three months. You can also search for “CITS China2Go” on TripAdvisor to see reviews left by tour participants.

Q: What should I do if my itinerary is affected by a blizzard or road closures in Tibet?

A: The tour guide and support staff will immediately rearrange accommodations and the itinerary on the spot, prioritizing safety. CITS Global Travel—China2Go employs its own team of tour guides and drivers; we do not outsource or subcontract, so we can coordinate directly on-site. Q: Do the Tibet tours offered by China Travel Global really not include any stops at shopping stores?

A: Yes, the contract specifies that this is a "pure sightseeing" tour with no shopping stops. In the event of a breach of contract, compensation of 5,000 RMB will be paid. There are no shopping stops or optional paid activities during the tour.

Q: How many people are in each Tibet tour group organized by China Travel Global?

A: Tours require a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 10. In some areas, tours may occasionally be upgraded to small groups of 6 at no additional cost.

Q: It’s my first time visiting Tibet. What should I do if I’m worried about altitude sickness?

A: Accommodations on this tour are primarily at Hilton-level hotels equipped with oxygen supply systems, and the tour guide will monitor each guest’s physical condition throughout the trip. We recommend consulting a doctor before departure; once you arrive at high altitudes, if you experience symptoms such as headaches, chest tightness, or shortness of breath, please inform the tour guide immediately.

Q: How far in advance do I need to sign up for the Tibet tour?

A: We recommend registering 35 to 45 days before departure, as it takes time to process the entry permit for Tibet, which is handled by CITS Global Travel—China2Go.
