What is the best season to go to Beijing?
The best seasons are spring and fall (April-May, September-October), when temperatures are comfortable and visibility is good. Summer is hot but full of activities; in winter, you can experience snow, ice and New Year's festivities, so keep warm.
What are the must-see attractions in Beijing for the first time?
The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall (Badaling or Mutianyu), the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, Shizahai and the Hutong District, the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube, and other classic landmarks.
The Great Wall: Octopus or Mutianyu?

Will there be much traffic congestion in Beijing? How can I avoid it?

Tips are not required for restaurants and cabs; tours are allowed to give tips to drivers/tour guides (according to product page).
Will there be any queuing during peak seasons?
