Over the 4,728-meter Shedra Pass, the snow-capped peaks are lit up in the morning light. At the end of the line of sight, Namcha Barwa, the sacred mountain known as the "Shy Lady", rises to an altitude of 7,782 meters and is often hidden by clouds and mist. In winter, when the air is dry and clear, the chances of meeting her face-to-face are the highest, and travelers often hold their breath at this moment.
Down the road, the Lulang Forest Viewing Platform opens up another kind of shock: the pine forests stretch to the sky, and the snow-covered mountains straddle the back, as quiet as a postcard. This place is known as the "Little Switzerland of Tibet", and winter is especially pure, with fewer people and only the conversation between the mountains and the snow.
Continue along National Highway 318, passing through Tongmai Bridge and the 318km monument, and arrive at Bomi in the evening.
➤ Sertila Pass:The high point of Namcha Barwa, with an unobstructed panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains.
➤ Namcha Barwa Peak:At an altitude of 7,782 meters, Shy Nyunt Peak is not easily seen, but is a rare opportunity in winter.

Traveling east, you will first come to a place known asRanwu Lake, the "Pearl of Eastern Tibet".The lake is as clear and blue as a mirror. The lake's clear blue water is as quiet as a mirror, reflecting the snowy peaks, blue sky and white clouds. In spring and summer, the lake is rippling with blue waves, in autumn the colorful forest reflects the lake, and in winter the lake is dreamy and clear, and the lake is like a fairy tale world, with its four seasons in different forms.
Then deep into the Laiku Glacier, one of the five major glaciers in Tibet. Several huge glaciers from the peaks of the peaks rushing down, ice tongue winding straight to the lake shore, imposing. Laiku village at the foot of the glacier, wooden houses scattered, cattle and sheep leisurely, cold and gentle coexist, is the most touching contrast in this piece of snow and ice world.
➤ Ranwu Lake:The mirror of the plateau surrounded by snowy mountains, frozen in winter, too pure to be real.
➤ Come to the ancient glacier:One of the five major glaciers in Tibet, the ice tongue welling up to the lake, to the ancient village quietly lying under it, the sense of the secret world is full of

Leaving Bomi, we traveled along the river and entered the spruce forest. This piece of primitive forest is quiet and magnificent, the towering spruce cover the sky, the snow in the forest has not melted, the sunlight from the trees between the slanting into the light and shadow like a dream. In winter, there are fewer tourists and only trees and silence remain, which is the purest natural moment on the plateau.
Wear out the sea of forests, come to the alpine pasture. Cattle and sheep scattered in the snow snows, snow peaks stand quietly in the distance, there is no deliberate scenery, only the plateau of the most daily, but also the most moving side.
Arriving in Linzhi in the late afternoon, this small city, known as the "Jiangnan of Tibet", is even more tranquil in winter. The Yarlung Tsangpo River flows slowly, the sunlight is surprisingly warm, and there are fewer crowds in the peak season and more of a real rhythm for travelers.
➤ Heights spruce forest:Primitive spruce cover the sky, winter snow has not melted, the forest is quiet and picturesque.
➤ Alpine pastures:Cows and sheep dotting the snow, snowy peaks as the scenery, the most realistic daily life on the plateau.

Leave Linzhi and head to Xiuba Fortress. This is the oldest existing watchtower group in Tibet, after a thousand years of frost is still standing in the mountains. The stone-built towers are staggered, with traces of the glory of the Tubo Dynasty and the Benjaminist culture overlapping, known as the "living history of the snowy region", and walking in is like stepping into another era.
In the afternoon, we turned to Batson Tso. The lake's turquoise color is crystal clear, the snow-capped mountains are reflected in it, surrounded by pine forests, so quiet that you can only hear the wind. On the island in the center of the lake, Tsotsang Monastery is independent of the water above, is one of the most spiritual holy places in Eastern Tibet - although the island is small, but enshrined in the Lotus Sangha, incense has not been broken for thousands of years, in the pure lake scenery in this more solemn.
Arrive Lhasa in the evening, land and rest.
